Honorable dignitaries on the dias, senior citizens of India, Respected teachers and my dear friends, Good morning to all of you. I am studying in standard. As we all know that we are gathered here on a very special and great occasion of our nation. That is the ‘Republic Day’.
We are proud to be living in such a republic country in which every citizen have equal rights. India got Independence from british rule on 15th Aug, 1947 which we celebrate as Independence Day. However on 26 ^ (th) January we are celebrating Republic Day every year. Because on 26 ^ (th) january 1950 the Constitution of india come into the force and India was declared as Republic Country. That is why this day is valuable for every citizen of India.
Our great Indian freedom fighters have struggled a lot to ‘Purn Swaraj’ in india and republic Constitution gives supreme power of people living in country. Our Indian Constitution was drafted by Constituent Assembly under the chairmanship of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and it
took near about 3 year to be written. The whole Constitution comes into force under the chairmanship of Dr. Rajendra Prasad.
Every Indian got justice, equality, liberty, freedom, and many human powers after adoption of the Constitution. Constitution gives right to every citizens to select their own government. So on this special day everyone shows respect and pride for our Constitution.
It is also very important to understand the meaning and value of being republic. There is need to get together to save our country from things which pulling our nation back and have to promote the main streams of development and progress. We should be aware of our social issues like poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, global warming and inequality in order to solve them to go ahead. So pray for development and prosperity of our nation.
