Independence Day is annually celebrated on 15th August, as a national holiday in India commemorating the nation’s independence from the United Kingdom on 15 August 1947, the UK Parliament passed the Indian Independence Act 1947 transferring legislative sovereignty to the Indian Constituent Assembly. India still retained King George VI as head of state until its transition to full republican constitution. India attained independence following the Independence Movement noted for largely nonviolent resistance and civil disobedience led by the Indian National Congress (INC). Independence coincided with the partition of India, in which the British India was divided along religious lines into the Dominions of India and Pakistan; the partition was accompanied by violent riots and mass casualties, and the displacement of nearly 15 million people due to religious violence. On 15 August 1947, the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru raised the Indian national.

Speech no-7

Hai friends, this is A.Shankhinn of class 10 D. I am Present here before you to share my views on the glory of the Independence achieved by India.

Independence day is one of the most memorable days in Indian History. Independence day reminds us of all the sacrifices that were made by our freedom fighters to make India free from British rule. 15th August is celebrated as a national festival with flag hoisting, parades, and cultural events. Schools, colleges, offices, society complexes, government, and private organizations conduct functions and celebrate this day with great enthusiasm. On this day, the Prime Minister of india hoists the flag at the Red Fort and addresses the nation with a speech. Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru performed the first flag-hoisting ceremony on 15th August 1947.

For almost two centuries the Britishers ruled over India. Under British rule, the lives of the people were miserable. Indians were treated as slaves. Indian soldiers were treated inhumanely in British camps, and farmers were dying of starvation as they could not grow crops and had to pay heavy land taxes. And the citizens of the country suffered a lot due to these oppressors.

Our freedom fighters struggled for India’s Independence and fought fearlessly against the Britishers. Many of them also sacrificed their lives to make India free from British rule. We won freedom from British power after a hard and non-violent struggle. And Their contribution and effort are remembered in India’s Independence history.

Independence day generates a feeling of patriotism among people. Independence Day is the most significant day in the history of India because it reminds us of the bravery and struggle of our freedom fighters. It unites the people and makes them feel that we are one nation with so many different languages, religions, and cultural values. Unity in diversity is the main essence and strength of India. We feel proud to be part of the largest democratic country in the world.

Independence Day Speech

Respected Principal, teachers, and my dear friends,

I am very happy to have the opportunity to express my thoughts on this auspicious occasion of Independence Day. This is our 76th Independence Day celebration. Just 76years ago, we got independence from the British

The story of our freedom struggle is very big, which cannot be described in 1 day. Independence Day is very important for every Indian.

75 years ago, the British ruled India, they came to India on the pretext of trade and gradually took everything under their control and made us their slaves.

Then on 15 August 1947, India became independent after many agitations and battles. Many heroes sacrificed their lives to get freedom for India.

Due to the brave warriors of our country, we have become independent today, and today we celebrate this day to pay tribute to those brave warriors. Independence day is one of the national festivals of India.

Now, I am going to end my speech with these words, thank you So Much.
